As we prepare for another exciting Friday under the lights, we have asked Minnesota high school students to share a game preview or season recap on their football team.

The exciting Friday Night Lights football games are winding down for some teams, but the Lakeville South football team is on a roll. With their shutout win with a score of 30-0 against White Bear Lake last Friday, they received the title of Section Champions and are advancing to the state quarterfinals
The Lakeville South Cougars football team has had very strong seasons in the past, receiving the title of State Champions for two years in a row in 2020 and 2021. This season is no exception for their ongoing excellence. With the team’s 8-2 record with losses to Eden Prairie and Rosemount, the next games are sure to keep Cougar football fans on their toes.
The Cougar’s next game will be against Stillwater, who has a record of 7-1, and is one of the best teams in the state. Brecken Klein, Senior center lineman said that he is “excited for the atmosphere…[when] two really good teams [are] competing, it’s electric.” You won’t want to miss this matchup!
