As we prepare for another exciting Friday under the lights, we have asked Minnesota high school students to share a game preview or season recap on their football team.

                            Al Amundson
                            Eden Prairie

After a devastating loss to Edina with a score of 7-28, the Eagles begrudgingly claimed their overall season record of 11-1, signifying the end of their 2023 season. While they didn’t quite reach their goal of an MSHSL championship title, the Eagles have shown extraordinary drive and determination, the very two qualities that have brought them this far. They practiced hard, keeping with the training that had led them through countless games. And they took time to study Edina’s plays, remaining focused and confident until the very end. Some highlights of their season included their fantastic wins against Eagan in the second round with a score of 42-14 and Lakeville North in the quarterfinals with a score of 21-3.
During an interview, Junior Tyler Hoang acknowledged: “Edina is just another team. As soon as you enter that tournament, every team is ready to win, and every team has an equal chance of winning.”
The Eagles’ coaches echoed a similar sentiment, reminding the Eagles that “each game is just a new game'' to encourage them to play their hardest each and every day. Despite their disappointment, there’s no doubt that the Eagles will return for the next season more determined than ever.
